USSSA Anounces New Bat Standards
Heads up, USSSA softball players. On October 19th, the USSSA announced new bat safety standards that will be going into effect in 2011. Here’s part of the official press release explaining the changes:

Easton Fall 2011 Bat Preview
Last November, I wrote an article about Easton taking their early release 2011 bat design to players, coaches, and dealers for feedback on the graphic designs. I’m happy to report that Easton is at it again with their new Fall 2011 bat line. Prototypes of these bats are being taken all over the country for feedback, and I was lucky enough to be in on one of these previews.
